**NOTICE ** Temporary course change for 2023
Due to City Of West street construction along the OFFICIAL Kolache 5k route, the course has been modified for this year. The Westfest 5k course is temporarily UNOFFICIAL and NOT certified by USA Track & Field. We are temporarily calling this a "FUN 5K" and any 2023 course time will NOT be applicable to the Westfest 5k record books. The course will be back to OFFICIAL certified status in 2024. See below for MAP
COURSE
The 5k starts & finishes on the Westfest Grounds. Approximately 1 mile south of downtown West on Main Street.
The Kolache 5000 is 5000 meters/3.1 miles Loop course down Main Street through downtown West. Finish inside Westfest grounds. Relatively flat & fast. 1st mile sloping downhill; last mile is slight uphill. Steep 100 meter grade just before 2 mile mark.
AWARDS
Trophies will be presented to 1st overall male & female, 1st Master male & female, and top 3 in many age groups.
